Offprint (accessible at https://offprint.pub) is an article reflow, typesetting, and document conversion engine operated by Continua AI. We collect and process the minimum information necessary to format, render, and deliver documents for personal and research reading.
2. Information We Collect
- Authentication Information: When signing in with Google OAuth, we receive your email address, name, and unique Google account identifier. This data is used strictly to maintain your session, manage conversion quotas, and authorize superuser administrative roles.
- Submitted URLs: When you request conversion of an article, our service retrieves the publicly accessible HTML and assets of that URL to generate the formatted document. We do not sell or monetize browsing histories or submitted URLs.
- Delivery Information: If you use our e-reader dispatch features (e.g. Send-to-Kindle), we process the provided recipient email solely to deliver the synthesized file via SMTP or transactional delivery API.
3. How We Use Information
Data collected is used exclusively to:
- Parse, reflow, and vectorize requested articles into PDFs.
- Cache AI diagram transformations and layout budgets to minimize latency and repetitive API spend.
- Monitor server performance, security incidents, and abuse patterns.
4. Data Storage and Security
All data and persistent caches are housed within Google Cloud Platform facilities located in the United States. Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and encryption at rest are enforced across all services.
5. Third-Party Services
The service relies on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Google OAuth) and Google Gemini AI models for vision and diagram vectorization. We do not sell personal data to data brokers or third-party advertisers.
6. Deletion and Rights
You may request deletion of your account record, stored preferences, or conversion history at any time by emailing support@continua.ai.
